You can changing the Control Panels appearance to suit your needs very quickly. The first setting to note is the ability to have the Control Panel "follow" you down the page or stay docked at the top of the page. By default it is set to "follow" as shown below.

Note how the Control Panel is covering the Logo. Below the Control Panel is "pinned" to the top of the page by select the push-pin icon.

The Control panel now reveals the Logo, and wil remain there as you scroll down the page.

By selecting the "left-arrow" the Control panel can be "minimized" to the far left of the page as seen below. It can be returned by clicking the "right-arrow".

Another feature is the Control Panel can be minimized in height as seen below.
